When clicking on a specific date the popup to add new event should appear for the selected date

Definitely. I ended up adding the event in google cal anyway because it was easier to do than scroll up to click add in yearglance

Second this - in fact it would be good to have a "fit to screen" option to fit horizontal and vertical dimensions into the screen.
